Christ Revealed

Christ revealed in the beginning ….

When God spoke the world into existence , Christ was there. When He molded the chaotic world into perfect tranquility, Christ was there. When time had its beginning, Christ was there.

The Holy scriptures declare that … In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the Beginning with God, All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of Men, and the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1-5)

John 1:14 says that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His Glory, the Glory as of the only begotten of the Father, Full of grace and truth.

(Romans 16:25) - Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began

Christ revealed in us …….

Colossians 1:26-28 says the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus

The mystery was Christ in us, the hope of glory. The only Jesus many people will ever see is the Jesus in us. His Life, His Love, His Peace, His Joy, His Words. Expressed through us. Vessels chosen by God to proclaim His Glory!

Romans 8: 9-10 says But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

God chose earthly vessels to carry out His work. Jesus said in John 14:12 that the works that he does we shall do and do even greater works because He goes to His Father so that he may come live in the hearts of all believers through His Spirit.

(Romans 13: 13-14) - Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

The above scripture tells us to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ”. to put Him on means to be clothed with Him. Anointed by Him, Enthralled with Him. We wear His Name. The Name above all Names! He also tells us to make no provision for the flesh, meaning to die completely to the flesh so that we can live unto Christ Jesus and to walk in the anointing He has placed on us and in us through Christ!

(1 Corinthians 2: 14-16 ) - Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life.
Christ in us is Christ revealed to the saved and to the perishing……

2 Corinthians 3:2-4 - You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
We are Living witnesses for Christ Jesus. Open books to be read by all men with the words of Christ written on our Hearts by the Spirit of the Living God.

Christ revealed to us ……..

In Matthew Chapter 16 Jesus asked the disciples “who do men say I am”? they said some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah , and others Jeremiah.
Then Jesus asked them “Who do you say that I am”? Simon Peter answered and said “ You are the Christ, The Son of the Living God”.
Then Jesus said “Blessed are you Simon Bar-Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in Heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it“.

Christ had revealed Himself to the disciples and Peter saw Jesus for who He really was, he saw Jesus as the Christ (the Anointed one). He saw Christ revealed!
Jesus wasn’t saying he would build the church on Peter, for the church could not be built upon flesh and blood, He was saying He would build the church on the revelation that Peter had received , that Jesus is the Christ!
This is the revelation that is the foundation for the church today, that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Matthew chapter 17: 1--5 says Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

Jesus revealed Himself to Peter, James and John. He was transfigured before them.
Actually Jesus didn’t change, their perception of Him changed. they saw Him as the Christ. Malachi 3:6 says I am the Lord, I do not change.

Jesus doesn’t change, our perception and the way we view Him must change.

We must choose to go higher on the mountain of God to be able to see Him in His glory. To see Him as the Christ, our Lord, our Savoir, our King.

Galatians 1:11-12 Paul says But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 1:17) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.
